Forklift Operator PM
JOB SUMMARY:
This Company is a manufacturing and distribution leader in the consumer and food service/food packaging markets it serves. It is currently looking to hire warehouse lift truck operators on a contract-to-hire basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
•At least 2-3 years of experience operating a lift truck in a warehouse and manufacturing environment;
•Must have been forklift certified (OSHA certification preferred);
•Must have experience keeping proper order and organization on a warehouse’s floor;
•Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing initiatives is nice to have.
•Basic knowledge of mathematics, including the use of a tape measure and calculator;
•Basic knowledge of warehouse computer operations;
•Prior use of a hand-held scanner for warehouse inventory;
•Must have the basic ability to communicate, orally and written, in the English language.
•Must be both willing and able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds of material as required throughout the shift;
•Must be both willing and able to operate a lift truck throughout a shift consisting of eight to twelve hours
•Will be required to follow safety guidelines and good manufacturing practices, as required by the Plant;
•Must be a team player, flexible, and willing to work 12-hour shifts
•Must be able to successfully a pass background check, drug test and be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis for any employer.
•A pre-employment physical and drug screening is required for the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS OF FORKLIFT OPERATOR:

•The Lift Truck Operator (LTO) will work in the warehouse department.
•The LTO will be required to fill out various operator checklists and department paperwork that is related to safety, quality and production, and will be responsible for maintaining department standards for all equipment.
•Responsible for distributing and picking up materials from production lines to the warehouse and loading/unloading truck deliveries.
• Will be required to perform other tasks as assigned.

SCHEDULE & PAY RATE:
• 8:00 pm - 4:30 am
• $15.00 / hour
