Inventory - Wareshouse - 1st Shift
POSITION SUMMARY:

Will perform functions in a production plant that produces products and plastic containers for consumer and food service clients, in a warehouse environment. The Lift Truck Operator is responsible for operating a lift truck to move finished product, material and supplies. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. Will perform other functions as needed and instructed by management personnel.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to use a scanner and computer.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must have minimum of 3 years recent forklift experience.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred and forklift certification.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics.
- Must have the basic ability to communicate, orally and written, in the English language.
- Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little supervision.
- Will be required to be certified in Lockout/Tag Out and Forklift Operation upon assignment.
- Must pass a criminal background check, hair follicle drug test and must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis for any employer.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Must be able to safely and efficiently operate the lift truck clamp truck.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Transporting and loading finished order from the production area to where they will be stored and/or shipped.
- Observes necessary safety precautions.
- Identify and report the following to warehouse management: Equipment problems; quality problems; unsafe practices
and conditions.
- Operates a gas, electric lift truck and clamp lift in and between departments, building and grounds.
- Moves product through the facility, pulling orders and staging for either shipping or storage.
- Fill out necessary paperwork for reporting safety, quality, production, damages and loading unloading verification.
- Collects and delivers a variety of materials, adhering to good safety practices in carrying out duties.
- Delivers materials to work areas as directed, stacks materials in storage areas and loads shipments in trailers.
- Prepares and checks necessary receipts, records and reports.
- Housekeeping on a daily basis: ensuring that all areas in which he or she works are clean and that all items are stored in their proper places.
- Support Lean initiatives.
- Other duties may be assigned.

WORKING SCHEDULE & PAY RANGE:

1st shift - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
2nd shift - 3:30pm to 12:00 pm
