SUMMARY:
Medical pouch and bag manufacturer in the city of Commerce, CA is seeking workers with attention to detail, efficient and safety conscious. The Packer position will require the worker to process the customer work order in accordance with written procedures, ISO/FDA requirements and customer specifications. This position also requires flexibility with schedules as demands can change rapidly requiring the employee to work OT and or Saturdays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support EHS - Environmental health Safety - Initiatives
- Perform line clear function when needed.
- Label placement when necessary
- Inform Machine Operator, Quality Inspector and / or Shift Supervisor when product does not meet customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean machine and work area.
- Ensure product meets work order and that customer specifications/documentation is completed as required.
- Place product into required container (s) as per customer requirements.
- Seal containers.
- All other duties assigned.
Must be able to work extended shifts in order to accomplish goals.
• Minimal Packer experience needed. Training provided. Some quality experience preferred.
• Lifting up to 25 pounds when needed and occasional lifting up to 35 pounds. Capable of sitting or standing.
• Basic Math.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and in group situations.
• Ability to work on feet for prolonged periods of time in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instruction.
• Must be able to Work, weekends, as well as over time when required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
EHS - Must learn/demonstrate the following EHS competencies:
- General Awareness.
SCHEDULE and PAY:
- 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm- OT provided often and must be available to work additional 4 hours. Breaks provided accordingly. Total of 11.5 hours worked for each day.
- $12.70 per hour
