JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the area supervisor, assemble large variety of mechanical parts with the aid of drawings, schematics, cut sheets, bill of materials or process documents to create high quality finished products in an efficient manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent- Required
• Minimum 6 months in a manufacturing environment or - Preferred
• Basic Mechanical aptitude – Required
• Basic Math Skills - Required
• Knowledge of hand tools – Required
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assemble small to large sized parts
• Prep and attachment of subassemblies
• Quality inspections of work in process
• Troubleshoot/repair/correction of errors
• Measuring/marking/cutting/drilling/tapping
• Use of hoists, mechanical drawings, power tools and hand tools
• Identify opportunities for change to accomplish company goals and objectives
• Practice safe work habits, following safety guidelines, and support company safety initiatives
• Assist in other work centers/departments as needed to increase knowledge and proficiency in all assembly / material handler roles.
• Assist in other work centers/departments as needed, thorough knowledge of most work stations and product lines.
• Assist in training of coworkers
• Clear understanding of assembly metrics
• Rework/convert units as needed
• Increase knowledge and proficiency in all Products
• Assist in the communication of assembly metrics
• Housekeeping, to include sweeping, disposing of trash and maintaining clean and safe work area
• Participation in training sessions
• Other duties as directed
WORKING SCHEDULE & PAY RANGE:
Shift: Mon-Fri
8:00 am to 5:00 pm
