Job Description:
PLEASE READ:
-This is a 3-4 Month contract to hire
-The normal work week is Mon-Fri however OT can be any day of the week.
-This Force Staffing Services will be ON CALL which means mandatory OT on the weeks they are on call if they are called.
-This Force Staffing Services must be within a 30 minute drive of the jobsite and have their own means of transportation to get there. Please include the Force Staffing Services's location on top of the resume when submitting
Summary:
On behalf of the City of Huber Heights, serves as a representative working in the distribution and collection system.
Dimensions / Supervisory Responsibilities:
Actions are controlled by standard work procedures and under direct supervision of others.
Education/Equivalent:
· High School or Equivalent
· Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license.
Work Experience Needed:
· Experience in construction/plumbing helpful.
· 1 year experience in Water Distribution System industry preferred but not required
Requirements and Special Skills/Abilities Needed:
Certification required to progress
Ability to record numbers accurately.
Ability to troubleshoot customer issues.
Clean driving record
Class B CDL preferred – will assist in obtaining this license if needed
Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:
May be responsible to repair water mains and or clean sanitary sewer mains.
Requires approximately 100% of time in the field.
Position has on-call responsibilities.
Must be able to respond to a call within no more than 30 minutes.

Performs, under direct supervision:
· A variety of basic operational and maintenance tasks relevant to maintaining safe and reliable operations of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities and/or collection systems ensuring operational compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Routine cleaning and general housekeeping duties in work and plant areas as assigned, including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, painting, cleaning of weirs, presses and other process equipment and areas.
· Ability to understand and carry out written and/or verbal work orders and assignments
· Ability to perform simple math calculations with the use of a calculator
· Ability to properly collect water quality samples, test and maintain collection records
