SUMMARY OF WAREHOUSE PORTER:
Local Cold Storage facility in Chicago, IL is offering career opportunities to an inbound and Outbound runner.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE WAREHOUSE PORTER:
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work weekends occasionally
• Must have a solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
• Excellent customer service, and a service centered demeanor required
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and change direction mid-stream
• Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and be creative to find solutions
• Must be able to frequently climb ladders and have the stamina to remove snow, debris and office refuse.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy loads on a seasonal basis and loads of up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A WAREHOUSE PORTER:
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures.
• Washes and replaces blinds. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Move furniture and associated office equipment as necessary.
• Light maintenance and repair.
• Comply with and ensure compliance with Company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE & PAY RATE OF WAREHOUSE PORTER:
• Monday-Friday OT required
• 1st shift 6:00am to 2:30pm $15.00
2nd shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm $15.50
3rd shift 10:00pm to 6:30am $15.75
