SUMMARY:
Global Pizza Chain is now providing career opportunities for a Class A Route Driver to join our team in our distribution centers. This position will report to the Transportation Manager and is a dedicated route position. This company exclusively delivers to all pizza stores and is the in-house distributor. SIZABLE SIGN-UP BONUS!!
REQUIREMENTS OF CDL DRIVER CLASS A:
• 2 year of verified tractor/trailer experience required with a class A CDL along with an acceptable driving record. Will review all prior accidents in the last 5 years.
• Must be D.O.T. qualified, with an acceptable CSA score, knowledgeable and able to pass all pre-employment requirements
• Two years experience of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Must possess a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to sixty 60 pounds in order to unload truck at multiple stop locations.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to nights, weekends, layovers, holidays, as well as short notice.
• Possess a valid commercial driver’s license and medical examiner’s certificate. Company will pay for new physical during hiring process.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS OF CDL DRIVER CLASS A:
• Late model Freightliners with PeopleNet for dispatch, etc.
• Lift gate and electric pallet jack to ease movement of food products.
• The position starts with different routes as you fill in for the route drivers as needed, but dedicated route can be achieved with seniority.
• Routes re-bid on yearly basis.
• Routes are all dispatched near 10pm.
• Routes run 5 days per week Sunday through to Friday afternoon so would need to be flexible with your schedule to fill in for drivers as needed.
SCHEDULE & PAY RATE:
• Pay is hourly based on experience, with overtime after 40 hours.
• Normal work week is 40-50 hours.
• Starting pay $25.07 hour.
