SUMMARY OF SIT DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
Forklift Operators needed to work out of a National logistic company at Kearny, NJ. The Associate will be loading/unloading products goods throughout the warehouse facility
REQUIREMENTS OF SIT DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
• GED or High School education preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift.
• Must be Certify or be able to get certify while on assignment on site.
• Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of times
• Treat all team members with a respect while demonstrating positive work attitude and leadership skills
• Must be willing and able to work weekends
RESPONSIBILITIES OF SIT DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
• Completes daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports load to designated area
• Puts away palatalized units by raising forks for placement into four or five high racks
• Picks palatalized units out of four or five high rack locations and stages for outbound shipment
• Inventories materials and records weight, counts, and condition of frozen food items via an RF system
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Recharges, maintains proper water levels, and cleans batteries
• Carries out additional duties as required or requested by supervisory or management staff.
• Work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks safely, effectively and efficiently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee will frequently work around food processing machinery such as forklifts, conveyor belts, and hydraulic mechanical equipment. The employee is normally required to work in a warehouse with temperatures ranging from abnormally hot and cold temperature -20 degrees
SCHEDULE & PAY RATE OF SIT DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
• 4:00 pm - 12:30 am (must be available to work overtime Saturdays and Sundays)
• Pay Rate $12.00 Hr
Transportation will be provided from the Paterson, NJ Office.
